Junior Farmers’ Camp takes place on the beautiful 25 acres of Cropsey Community Farm. This slice of nature in New City, NY gives campers a true hands-on outdoors and farm experience. Counselors spend each day guiding campers through farm & garden activities, such as: planting and harvests, nature walks to observe our resident creatures, identifying insects and plants, and learning farm animal chores.
Our wonderful camp counselors are the true spirit of Junior Farmers’ Camp. Counselors show leadership qualities, responsibility, and a love of nature by being actively involved in campers’ play-based learning and are expected to enthusiastically participate. Camp counselors work with children ages 5 to 13. There are 2 main groups, Lower Camp (ages 5-8) and Upper Camp (ages 9-13).
