ABCs of Farm-Based Education at Shelburne Farms

The ABCs of Farm-Based Education is a 2 1/2 day workshop that is offered each spring and fall at Shelburne Farms, in Shelburne, Vermont, and sometimes at partner sites around the US.

At ABCs, farmers and farm-based educators gather new activities and ideas as they explore Shelburne Farms’ dairy, farmyard, garden, and forest classrooms.

The bulk of the workshop time is dedicated to sharing activities from Shelburne Farms’ publications Project Seasons and Cultivating Joy and Wonder. Discussions also focus on creating safe learning environments, designing new programs and reaching new audiences, and hearing about participants' farm-based education successes on their respective farms.

The next ABCs of Farm-Based Education will be October 20 - 22 at Shelburne Farms, Shelburne, VT and is currently full. Visit Shelburne Farms website to be added to the waitlist.
