Registration for the 2019 Conference

Financial Transparency

Please note, the direct costs for attending this event is $373 / person for the whole event (excluding field trips), or $124 / person per day. This includes: use of the Pearlstone facility, food and beverages at the Pearlstone Center, speaker and keynote honorariums, and payment to a part-time contractor to support with conference efforts.  The actual cost of organizing and running this event for 300 people is $525 / person for the whole event (excluding field trips), or $210 / person per day. This includes use of the Pearlstone facility, food and  beverages at the Pearlstone Center, speaker and keynote honorariums, conference efforts, registration system expenses, time from Farm-Based Education Network staff and a part-time contractor,  Shelburne Farms’ staff supporting the event, and the organizing committee members’ time.

We know professional development conferences can be expensive to attend! Because of their cost, they often exclude those from limited resource organizations, those paying out of their own pockets, and those unable to take time away from work and home to attend. Our event aims to be accessible to all, and through the generous support of many sponsors we are able to make conference registration financially affordable. If registration revenue exceeds our goals, the additional funds will be allocated to making future FBEN programming financially accessible.

We also value the non-monetary contributions that you will make during the event, and will provide ideas during registration of non-financial contributions you can make.

Registration is closed.
