Waltham Fields Community Farm
Waltham Fields Community Farm is looking for a Learning Garden Educator for our spring 2012 Children’s Learning Garden after-school programs. Waltham Fields Community Farm (WFCF) promotes local agriculture through growing and distribution practices that are socially, ecologically, and economically sustainable. We forge relationships between people, their food supply, and the land from which it grows. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Our Children’s Learning Garden programs include spring and fall after-school and summer camp sessions for children in grades K-5; Educational Farm Visits for school or community groups; and Family Programs for children ages 0-4 and their caregivers. The Learning Garden Educator teaches participants about farming and food through games and activities. The Educator position is supervised by the Education and Volunteer Coordinator (EVC) and works with both the EVC and his/her fellow educators to carry out our education programs and maintain our Learning Garden spaces.

The Learning Garden Educator position is a part-time temporary seasonal position, from late April through the end of October. Applications will also be accepted for those who do not wish to work all three seasons. Hours vary season-to-season approximately as follows:
Compensation: $12/hr and fresh produce from the farm
