- What is your favorite childhood farm or garden memory?
- When I caught my first fish (at age five) I was so proud that I wanted to carry it around all day and every day. Eventually the fish began to decompose and my father decided it was time for me to get rid of it. He told me that we could bury it in the garden and it would help the plants grow an it would turn into something else. I remember sitting at the edge of the garden waiting for that fish to grow out of the ground transformed into something new. This was my first lesson in composting and fish fertilizer! Thanks Dad.
