What is your favorite childhood farm or garden memory?

I grew up in the suburbs but my mother always kept our small yard looking beautiful. When we moved to the home I grew up in, there was already a meyer lemon tree in the back. It produced amazingly well my entire childhood and the only lemons I knew, until moving to the east, were those from our tree. I don't believe I thought about it at the time, but I love remembering my mom asking me to get a lemon from the tree for dinner so that she could dress our greens with just salt and Meyer lemon juice. Simple but amazing.
