The Farm-Based Education Association

Inspire-Nurture-Promote

Today I dropped off a VT FEED dvd and a steel mess tray for school cafeteria workers. We just installed a school dish washer in an effort replace the use of styrofoam
.
I am on my way to a conference on hunger: I hope to address school foods, farm based education and the development of a local food processing plant .

I am encouraging a plant a row for the hungry and that includes school children. I am hopeful that this will engage service learning projects.

I am continuing to write a G.A.P. Garlic Awareness Project inspired by a number of people and The Farm-Based Education Conference.

I am working on our SARE grant to develop a scalable model ( based on our Massachusetts model) to create regional networks of farm-based educators - Nebraska here we come!
If you are coming to Nebraska and there is anything Laura and I can do to help, please let us know! Besides the farming/education connections we are also heavily involved in the Nature Networks and Outdoor Nature Classrooms.
