The Farm-Based Education Association

Inspire-Nurture-Promote

Farm education has the power to build character and awaken self-awareness while connecting people to the earth. Through a series of presentations and experiential exercises, participants will have an understanding of the experiential model within the context of the farm. Because we teach who we are, we will touch on the power of modeling values that we strive to impart, and will focus on ways to facilitate student experiences where they can take ownership. Opportunities for teaching peace through gardening, character building, personal connection, and empowerment will be integrated throughout.

Comments:
Keep reading, learning and trying out ideas. This presentation merely scratches the surface of the art of facilitation. Let this be a jumping off point, a motivator to go out and learn more, not the end of the quest for understanding on this topic.

To all who attended this workshop, thank you for bringing and openly sharing your experience. It was richer because of your presence.

Feel free to email me with thoughts, questions, clarifications...
