FARM TO SCHOOL PROGRAM EVALUATION

With funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2010, Vermont FEED launched an investigation to better understand the impact of Vermont Farm-to-School programming on student fruit and vegetable consumption.  This report highlights that 80% of students reported ‘knowing a farmer”!

The analysis suggests that students who reported knowing a farmer had better attitudes toward fruits and vegetables and reported higher consumption of fruits and vegetables than students who did not."
