Summer Camp Assistant Internship
Zenger Farm, Portland Oregon

Zenger Farm is a working urban farm that models, promotes and educates about sustainable food systems, environmental stewardship, community development and access to good food for all. Zenger Farm offers Summer day camp programs to children first grade through high school.
TIME COMMITMENT
- June 19th through August 17th or 24th, 2012
- 40 hours a week
- Potential to extend internship to work with our fall field trip programming
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with summer camp programming
- Assist with children’s garden
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Open to 3rd and 4th year college students or recent graduates
- Must enjoy working with children
- Positive can do attitude
- Ability to work in a farm setting, lifting up to 50lbs, digging, using hand tools, etc.
- Background in outdoor education and gardening or farming practices
- CPR and First Aid certification or ability to become certified
- Ability to become epi-pen certified
- Must pass a criminal background check
