Are you a nature writer? Do you have a place-based memoir or wilderness poetry collection in your idea book? A few lines sketched in margins of novels and journals? If you’d like to explore further the practice of writing inspired by place and space, here’s your chance!
Led by Erica Romkema, who holds an M.F.A. in creative writing and environment, this workshop will guide you through the process of translating earth into word. You’ll read poetry while lingering along a creekside; you’ll search for mussels while formulating new phrases; you’ll taste food from the ground you’ve walked on; and you’ll gather on the front porch with other writers to share and contribute to one another’s works in progress.
Cost: $30. Pre-registration required. Please RSVP to Erica at eromkema@hungryturtle.net or 715-268-4214.
