Event Description

The 2010 Women in Sustainable Agriculture Conference will bring together farmers, ranchers, educators, agricultural service providers and activists to to build production and business skills, share educational and organizational strategies, and forge new connections all aimed at expanding the success of women in sustainable agriculture. This conference will celebrate farm women's accomplishments, and through your participation set the stage for even further success.
Choices Abound:
Farm Tours, Clinics, Workshops, Round Tables

While this conference will be open to everyone, it is uniquely oriented to women farmers’ interests and learning preferences. We're devoting most of November 2 to small group farm tours and intensive skill-building workshop. In response to your requests for more opportunities to learn from each other, we've scheduled lots of time for both facilitated discussion and for informal networking and sharing throughout the conference.
Grow Your Business Track:

A special business development and marketing track within the conference, Grow Your Business (GYB) is designed to help farmers who have made it through start-up and now want to strengthen their business for long term sustainability. If you are assessing what parts of your business need more attention, whether to diversify, how to boost profitability or whether changes in management or marketing structure are needed, this track may be for you. Participants who enroll in this track will participate in two extra workshops and will be eligible for individual follow-up technical assistance in the six months following the conference.
