SUMMER CAMP!
Out of Sight, but Not Yet Out of Mind: Successes, Challenges, and New Ideas for Summer Camp 2010
Warm sun, a bummer economy, happy campers, the local food/farm frenzy, wellness policies, persistent parents, tomato blight, sunburns... what were some of the challenges and successes of your 2009 summer camp program?
Join Mike Roman, Web Workshop facilitator and Education Director at Gorman Heritage Farm in Ohio for a FREE 1.5 hour web-based workshop to learn from each other about new things to consider and things to avoid when gearing up for your summer camp programs next year.
Presenters and participants will include:
Kris Young, Summer Camp Director at Pony Farm in New Hampshire
Shelby MacLeish, the Camp Director at Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture in New York
Reid Bryant, Summer Camp Program Director at the Farm School in Massachusetts
Please visit the Summer Camp Review Web Workshop Page to help us choose the best time for everyone and please consider and share several questions that you would like addressed in this workshop. We are wading into new waters with this web-based event and hope you'll think it's as exciting to explore the possibilities for our community as we do!
