Use your local community and environment as an integrating context for your teaching. Discover how service-learning projects and activities can enhance your community’s understanding of place. We'll discuss the fundamentals of Place Based Education and methods to take your students’ Place Based Learning to another level. The workshop will include work time to synthesize your learning as well as one on one consultation with resource specialists. We recommend that you apply with one or more colleagues from your school or community to enhance your learning and implementation.
FEE: $450.
One graduate credit optional for additional $ 115
Limited on-site accommodations available for additional fee.
