Farm to School and Farm- Based Education

How can Farm Based Education reinforce the work of Farm to School programs? How can teachers connect with farmers to offer educational opportunities on farms? What should you keep in mind when you working with students on a farm? How can farmers work with schools to support education efforts? We’ll discuss connecting farm to school programs to farm based education programs.  You’ll hear tips about making these connections and leave with ideas for developing field trips that support student learning.

Erica Curry will co-facilitate this webinar and is the Farm-Based Education and Farm-to-School Coordinator at Shelburne Farms.  She also works for the Farm Based Education Association, the National Farm to School Network and VT FEED. Erica’s background includes a decade of working with communities to develop connections between farms, schools and community members.
