Event Description

Old Sturbridge Village
Sturbridge, November 16, 11-1 with Hot Soup Lunch

Come see early New England life from 1790-1840 in action at one of the country's largest living history museums.  OSV has antique buildings, water-powered mills, and a working farm.  Learn how costumed historians interpret the land and foodways for educators, families, and school programs in a way that resonates with their modern visitors - are there lessons from the past that can guide us in our work today?

Highlights of the gathering will include a tour of their 19th Century root cellar and a delicious potluck lunch featuring vegetable soup cooked on the education building's open fire.

There will be time after the gathering to continue touring the village at your leisure and participants will receive a discount coupon for the gift shop (great selection of books, toys, and foods).

Please RSVP to Brooke@FarmBasedEducation.org, T: 978-318.7871.
