Event Description

There is so much going on this time of year! Fairs and Festival galore! However, one you shouldn’t miss is the 21st Annual Soule Homestead Harvest Fair & Joe Davies Folk Festival being held Saturday Sept 15th and Sunday Sept 16th in Middleboro.  There will be two days of family fun, music and food to celebrate the fall harvest with activities for all ages.  Admission is $7.00 per person; children under age 6 are free; one (1) FREE admission per membership and new members can join at the admission booth.

Planned activities:
Dale Perkins’ Amazing Trick Horse Show; Sheep Dog Demonstrations; Children’s Tent with Games, Crafts and Activities; Hay Rides & Face Painting; Birds of Prey: New England Reptiles & Raptors with Marla Isaac; Native American Artifacts with Randy Julius; South Coast Historical Society – Pirates of New England; Wilderness Survival & Primitive Display; Rug Braiding, Spinning, Loom Weaving & Basketry Demonstrations; Traditional Handcrafts by Local Artisans; Homemade Soups, Chili, Baked Goods & Desserts; Raffle & Silent Auction…And, of course, two full days of music at the Joe Davies Folk Festival included in the admission price.  Music starts at 11:00 each day. 

The two-day folk music festival will feature 12 performers, with Boxcar Lilies headlining on Saturday and Jack Williams on Sunday. Other performers will include Ron Carlson, Beth DeSombre, Jake Hill, Michael Troy, and Bill Staines on Saturday; with Mike Higgins, Susan Levine, Frank Albani & Sue Anderson, Danielle Miraglia, Sherman Lee Dillon on Sunday.
