Information from the 3rd Educational Farm Symposium
Shelburne Farms and the Farm-Based Education Association co-hosted the 3rd Educational Farm Symposium November 8-10, 2007 at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, Vermont. Over 175 people gathered together to network with colleagues, be inspired by success stories, and gain new knowledge to take back to their farm education programs. The goal of the symposium was to provide professional development and support to the farm-based education community through workshops, field trips, networking time, evening entertainment and hearty local food. To read some of the stories from the 3-day event, visit our News area.
Below is what we've collected from our speakers, workshop presenters, and our open space discussions. We hope this helps you carry the energy and enthusiasm from the Symposium back to your farms, into your offices, and into your daily work - whether you were able to be there or not.
If you were a presenter and/or
have some material that we could include on this page, please e-mail info@farmbasededucation.org.
